Introducing Ireland trip 2023

Christmas in Dublin 2016
Cliffs of Moher 2013

Come on everybody, here we go!

Hi everyone! We are back and gearing up for a new adventure! Jimmy and I are heading over the pond again for a good, old-fashioned family Christmas in Ireland!

This time we will not be traveling alone, which is a bit new and exciting for us! I’ve got a few family members as co-planners, and some that are just along for the ride. We also have a kiddo coming who is hoping to hunt faeries. I’m still waiting on word back from some of them about who wants to be included in the blog and who doesn’t, so for now we’ll keep it vague because I always try to respect people’s privacy online.

So here’s the plan: we’ll be spending the bulk of our trip traveling around the Western area of Ireland including Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Doolin, Galway, and (weather permitting) a little detour to the Aran Islands. Our trip is ending with a two day blitz of Dublin before returning home.

Those who have followed our blog may remember that Jimmy and I have been to Ireland twice: once in 2013 on our first European adventure where we stayed in Dublin and the Boyne valley, then once in 2016 when we went to Northern Ireland on a Christmas trek around the UK and Ireland. We’re excited to revisit some beloved favorites, as well as explore some new parts of the country. The rest our group are newbies to Ireland, and we’re excited for them to fall in love with it.

We board a plane this evening, so wish me luck!
